We here at Squadron 904 would like to congratulate cadets who completed various summer schools over the past few weeks.

From July 12 through July 20th four cadets from Squadron 904 attended CAP’s Hawk Mountain Ranger School. C/Capt Kara Smith served at the Deputy Commander of the school and is now Cadet Commander. Cadet Tim Cassidy staffed as XO of Charlie Squadron, Cadet Jeffery Marvel staffed as the XO of Mike Squadron, and Cadet Scott Vincent achieved his medic rating as a green scarf. Cadet Carlos Manzanet completed the school as a basic cadet. Capt Heather Sterner served as the Certifications Officer, 1st Lt Kenn Smith staffed as Transportation Officer, Capt David Spillaine staffed on Echo Squadron, and 1st Lt Mark Lindenmoyer staffed as the Stan/Eval Officer.
Only one week later, Pennsylvania Wing’s Encampment, Cadet Leadership, and Glider schools occurred. Cadets and staff from the squadron attended and assisted in all of these schools. Cadets Geoff Wenger and Carlos Manzanet both attended and completed Basic Encampment. Cadets Scott Vincent James Gant went through Cadet Leadership School, designed to test and develop the skills of future leaders. Capt Heather Sterner served as the Deputy Commander for both of these schools, 1st Lt Kenn Smith served as a TAC Officer, and TFO Glenn Koehler served as a Public Affairs Officer. During the Glider Encampment C/MSgt David Furlong finished out the week by soloing. Lt Col Jerry Patterson also served as the Glider Operations Director during the school.
Congratulations to everyone that attended and staffed schools. This year was a great success for all involved in every Pennsylvania Wing school.
